As much as I'd like to see them make a run at the playoffs, and have the first consecutive years of playoff appearances since '96/'97 (Yep, really...), I'd be just as happy if we just shut all 4 of them down for the year, get them healthy, and try again next year.

As a Mets fan, I don't think I have ever seen a player return from the IR/DL even within the remote vicinity of the projected time table. This has the potential a "David Wright is 2 weeks away - Oh wait, he' done for the season with Spinal Stenosis" sort of injury.

Barkov must be hanging with paperweight Huberdeau too much..it's catchy. As far as Bjugstad, they should just make him wear an apron around the dressing room at this point.
